Why was this site created?

One Monday someone stole my camera bag. A terrible day. I posted my camera's serial number to forums, I called the service center to inform them, I visited a couple of stores to inform them too. But I wasn't able to visit every photographer's store in the country! I believed that a stolen equipment database should exist online, but I found nothing! So we decided to create iwantmycameraback.com. To get our equipment back and help everybody get theirs too!
